Apologetics is a valuable set of tools available for people keen to communicate with more confidence and impact in today’s complex culture. The proven approach taken in this session will lay out a template for areas to strengthen: ways of finding common ground, learning to ask investigative questions, examining cultural barriers to belief, and a methodology for answering the toughest questions. Within this framework of understanding, one can articulate the Christian story in profound ways that connect deeply with the lives, aspirations and struggles of real people. Dr. Gordon Carkner completed his doctorate in philosophical theology in 2006 through the University of Wales, UK. He sponsors a ministry among faculty and graduate students at University of British Columbia through IVCF Canada. He has contributed confidence in the articulation of Christian faith.
